HAVE you been thinking about getting a cat or kitten?

If the answer is yes then your timing is impeccable.

The Campaspe Animal Shelter is saying goodbye to adult cats free of charge and kittens (pictured) at half prices.

And although the promotion was due to end it has now been extended until the end of April.

The animal shelter has significantly reduced its prices because of over population of cats.

It recently has unfortunately seen a dramatic increase in the number of unwanted cats and kittens being dumped or brought into the shelter.

All of the cats and kittens are de-sexed, microchipped and vaccinated, and have been assessed as having good temperaments making them suitable for re-homing.

Adult cats are free and kittens are half price at $75.

Animal registration fees still apply. The annual registration fee is $43 or $22 for pension card holders.

The animal shelter is open seven days a week at varying times.
