LOCALS are being urged to buy a badge ahead of Anzac Day — and Cohuna RSL has announced it also has an early start to April 25 this year.
Echuca RSL sub-branch is selling badges and memorabilia outside Big W, Safeway, Echuca post office and Tattslotto in Hare St from 9am to 3.30pm.
It will also be selling in the Port of Echuca at the weekend.
The sub-branch will also support the Echuca College Anzac Day service at 9am today.
Moama RSL Sub Branch is selling Anzac Day badges, pens, stubbie holders, bears and collectable items at Moama Safeway from 9am to 3pm and at Moama Market on Sunday.
Anzac Day services around Cohuna and Leitchville will kick off today with the Cohuna/Leitchville RSL sub-branch holding its usual school and retirement village services ahead of its Dawn Service and march next Tuesday.
The local services on today are at:
■Cohuna Retirement Village, 9am;
■Gunbower Primary School, 10.30am; and,
■Leitchville Primary School, 12pm.
More services will be held on Monday at:
■Cohuna Consolidated School, 9am;
■St Mary’s Cohuna, 10.30am; and,
■Cohuna Secondary College, 12pm.
