It’s mainly a good time for all — but with music

ECHUCA-MOAMA’S New Life Baptist Church has reintroduced ‘mainly music’ to the twin towns — and it will be staged at the Salvation Army Church in Sturt St every Thursday morning.

Salvos leader Lieutenant Sonia Edwards said that she was particularly delighted to see this program back on the agenda.

Mainly music is a popular music concept that has been designed specifically for children from birth through to five-year-olds — and their guardians.

Team co-ordinator Katie Wong said the morning consisted of a 30-minute music session.

‘‘Using mainly music children are able to better develop gross and fine motor skills, language, imagination and also the skills to socialise with others,’’ she said.

‘‘Children are introduced to music and creativity, plus families are able to develop new friendships while given the opportunity to contemplate faith aspects of life.’’

Music time was followed by morning tea and free play.

Mainly music has also been running at the Christ Church Anglican in High St every Tuesday morning and both programs are always open to newcomers.
