Is it a library? Yes, and a playground too

Check this out: Aiden and Julia Anderson deep into a game of plank play. As part of the game - which will feature on Saturday May 27 from 10am at Echuca's library during library and information week - children are given stacks of planks to create their own structures.

BUILD it up, build it up, build it higher.

Build it up, up, up into the sky.

You don’t need to tell Aiden and Julia Anderson twice, who this week brought the classic Play School song to life at Echuca’s library, just in time for library and information week from May 22-28.

And the good news is, if you would like your children to get involved, it’s not too late.

Plank play — the game Aiden and Julia are playing above — will feature on Saturday, May 27 from 10am at Echuca’s library.

As part of the game, children are given stacks of planks to create their own structures.

It is one activity of many that will be on offer across the five libraries in Campaspe Shire next week.

Anyone can participate in the many free activities on offer which include morning teas, book releases and children’s story time.

Activities at the Rochester, Rushworth, Tongala, Kyabram and Echuca libraries cater for the young and old. Rhyme time, story time and games days will captivate the children.

Adults don’t miss out with the inclusion of morning teas, book releases, tech time, Tai Chi and even a diabetes, heart disease and stroke prevention seminar.

For details, go to campaspe.vic.gov.au/library or call 54812400.
