A 27-YEAR-OLD man who was capsicum sprayed and tasered after allegedly threatening another man and refusing to leave a house in Mathoura has appeared in court.

Luke Quinlan, who is on bail, appeared in Deniliquin Local Court on Tuesday charged with intimidation, intimidate police and resist arrest.

His matter was adjourned to the same court on July 4.

Police claim Quinlan became aggressive and threatening towards them when they arrived at the Mathoura St home about 11am on May 25.

Accused of going to assault police, Quinlan was capsicum sprayed, which had minimal effect, so he had to be tasered.
