THE annual Echuca Moama Doll Show and competition is just a few weeks away.
Running from 9.30am to 4pm on Saturday July 29 at the Anglican Church Hall High Street Echuca entry is $5 for adults, $4.50 for concession holders and $2 children over six years old.
Guests will have the opportunity to wander around the many stalls selling antique and new dolls, teddies, crafts and doll accessories.
The ‘Doll Doctor’ will also be attending.
For the first time this year a new award will be introduced, ‘‘Gwen O’Neill Award for Dressing’’, in memory and recognition of one of the Doll Club’s founding members Gwen O’Neill who passed away last year.
Club member Marilyn Scott said Gwen was an avid doll collector for many years and she was a major contributor to the organising of the annual show.
‘‘She won many rosettes and awards in the category of doll dressing,’’ she said.
‘‘Gwen will be greatly missed by the members and other doll enthusiasts.’’
