MAKE sure you head down to Alton Gallery tomorrow for the unveiling of the Echuca-Moama Artists exhibition to support Echuca-Moama Search and Rescue.

Organiser Veronica Lamb said the exhibition was a way the gallery could give back.

‘‘The search and rescue group help us each year moving screens from the gallery to St Mary’s and back again,’’ she said.

‘‘So we thought this fundraising exhibition was one way of paying them back for all the work they do.’’

The exhibition features 150 9x5 paintings by artists around the country.

‘‘There is no specific theme,’’ Ms Lamb said.

‘‘We were overwhelmed by the response and how many artists submitted more than one piece.’’

The official opening kicks off at 11am and the search and rescue trucks will be on site.

‘‘They will also have a sausage sizzle to raise some more money,’’ Ms Lamb said.

‘‘I invite all of the community to come down and enjoy some beautiful artwork while supporting a great cause.’’
