A CHEVROLET Convention is returning to Echuca two years after it delighted classic car lovers.
The 567 Chev Club of Victoria is hosting its 12th annual event between October 13 and 15 and organiser Tony Anastasio said he expected another strong turnout.
‘‘It’s open to all Chevs; all makes of cars,’’ he said. ‘‘Last time we had about 150 entrants. We get a lot from interstate, particularly South Australia and NSW.
‘‘For us, Echuca is the perfect place for it. Council really looked after us last time and everyone was willing to help us out.’’
The event will kick off on the Friday with a garage crawl, along with registrations and a sausage sizzle at Victoria Park.
The Saturday will feature a poker run around Echuca, before a cruise along the Murray River to Morrison’s Winery, and then a dinner dance at Moama RSL.
The main event is the Show ‘n’ Shine on Sunday, between 9am and 2pm, at Aquatic Reserve.
That day will feature bands, awards and a major raffle.
‘‘It’s a bit of fun and we try to make it family-oriented,’’ Tony said.
