IN AN article headed ‘Threats to wipe out the Premier and government’ which appeared in the Riverine Herald on July 28 it was inadvertently reported Anthony Murphy pleaded guilty to a charge of threats to kill.

In fact this charge was withdrawn and struck out and Mr Murphy appeared before Echuca Magistrates’ Court on July 25 to plead guilty to a charge of use carriage service to menace pursuant section 474.17(1) of the Commonwealth Criminal Code Act 1995.

The Riverine Herald apologises to Mr Murphy for the confusion and any embarrassment it may have caused.
