IT WAS a hat-trick on Sunday, July 30, at Melbourne’s Grappling Industries Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition.
Three competitors from Echuca-Moama competed at the event and all came away with medals.
Seth Blade finished the day with a bronze medal in the Gi (uniform) division, coming away with two wins by submission and two losses.
He collected a silver medal in the No Gi following a win and a loss against some strong competition.
Daniel Irving also competed in the Gi and No Gi divisions above his weight class and picked up a silver in the Gi and a bronze in the No Gi.
Tyron Irving rounded out the medal haul with a bronze in the Gi division having won two matches and lost two matches.
Most notably it was the first time he had won a match at a competition which saw a dramatic growth in his confidence.
