THE EDDY family carved up the competition at the recent Victorian Junior State Championships at Glenrowan on the weekend.

Samual, Patrick and Jasmine all finished on the podium in both the individual time trial (ITT) and road race events.

The ITT was raced on Saturday, with Samual coming in first place in the under 17 men’s and Patrick finished closely behind in second.

Jasmine competed in the under 15 women’s and came third overall in a good field.

Sunday saw riders contest in the road race event.

Chase Costello-Manning joined the Echuca Moama Cycling Club members for the road race — completing the team in green in the under 17 mens.

In the tricky conditions, nine of 31 riders didn’t complete the race.

Patrick led Samual out for the win in the final sprint, finishing in seventh while Samual raced home for another first and Costello-Manning finished 11th.

Jasmine took out another third after dropping behind before the first climb in lap one and then chasing down the pack in a sprint for bronze.
