PAUL Gamble’s art is quintisentially Australian.

The Echuca man has been a practising artist for 25 years and is bringing his new exhibition Equiblue to the Foundry Arts Space from Sunday.

Focusing on Australian ideological rhetoric, ambiguity and pathos, Paul’s art features native animals such as kangaroos and emus.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Art before he spent the 90s as a leading member in Adelaide’s burgeoning youth arts movement through Carclew Youth Arts Centre and Red House Group.

When he moved to Bendigo he started participating in the art scene throughout regional Victoria.

Paul was an artist with the Golden Dragon Museums mural project within the Guan Yin Temple site and has project managed for the National Museum of Australia.

The exhibition runs until Sunday, October 8 with the official opening on Sunday at 2pm.
