Campaspe Shire shells out more grants to some local groups

FOUR more community initiatives have been given money as part of the Campaspe Shire responsive grants program

An amount of $3040 will go to the Tongala Lions Club, American Truck Historical Society Australian Chapter, Stanhope Auskick and Ashley Lovegrove.

The Tongala Lions Club will receive $800 to assist with the purchase of biotraps and bait for Queensland Fruit Fly to residential house lots in Tongala.

The American Truck Historical Society Australian Chapter will receive $1000 to assist with the event weekend.

Stanhope Auskick will receive $940 to purchase 22 football jumpers to support a combined student team with players from Stanhope Primary, Rushworth P12, St Mary’s Rushworth and Girgarre Primary to compete in the Campaspe Schools Football Carnival.

Ashley Lovegrove will receive $300 to assist with costs for competing in the Aboriginal State Netball Carnival in South Australia.

The responsive grants program provides funding for community initiatives that meet specified criteria.

An amount of $50,000 is allocated in the 2017/18 budget.
