Lillian Harris, Sheridan Clark, Jye, Riley and Jorjah-Mae Stapleton and Tegan Bellingham with her sons Arlo, 7 months, and Edison, 2 (front) are looking forward to Halloween at Crossenvale Community House.

CROSSENVALE Community House is gearing up for Halloween.

Co-ordinator Sheridan Clark said members would be decorating the house and hosting a free barbecue on October 31 from 5pm to 8.30pm.

‘‘We have an arts and craft group that meet at the house so they are busy making decorations for the night,’’ she said.

‘‘We want to promote the house as a safe house as part of crime prevention and neighbourhood safety, so we have asked the police and Neighbourhood Watch to come along.

‘‘We will also be handing out lollies and balloons on the night.’’

Ms Clark said the house would also provide balloons and Halloween friendly ‘I welcome trick or treaters’ posters as well a Halloween information pack in the lead up to the night.

Crossenvale Community House is at 28 Boothman St, Echuca.
