ECHUCA’S Telstra Shop has been broken into for the second time in a week.

The Hare St shop has lost thousands of dollars worth of mobile phones after burglaries overnight Sunday and last Wednesday.

Echuca police are investigating the burglaries and are appealing to the public for help.

‘‘If anyone saw anything suspicious on those nights I would urge them to come forward,’’ Senior Constable Detective Senior Constable Bernadette Waddington of Echuca Criminal Investigation Unit said.

Anyone with information about the burglaries can contact police on 54831500 or Crime Stoppers on 1800333000.

HUMAN remains found in bushland near Barmah early last month have still not been identified.

A skull was found about 5.30pm on September 2 and a further search of the area the next day revealed further skeletal remains.

Yesterday, a NSW Police spokesperson said the remains were still to be formally identified.

‘‘As the process will involve DNA testing, this could take several weeks,’’ the spokesperson said.
