ECHUCA-Moama Visitor Information Centre’s Jenn Rendle couldn’t contain her excitement when she was announced as employee of the year.

As the first staff member the centre’s visitors, volunteers and members meet, Jenn is the face of the organisation.

She has been with Echuca-Moama Tourism for seven years and her primary role is the provision of visitor services.

That includes co-ordinating the visitor information centre’s booking system and being the point of contact for its team of volunteer ambassadors.

‘‘I’m very proud and it is so nice to be recognised. I really wasn’t expecting to win,’’ Jenn said.

‘‘I am passionate about the job but I couldn’t do it without the amazing support of the entire team.

‘‘Everyone here deserves to be congratulated and I’m honoured to win in such a strong field.’’

■Finalists were Alyssa Stephens (Endota Spa), Sue Teasdale (GMCU), Kylie Spence (Northern Hire Group), and Leon ‘Joe’ Burton (Port of Echuca Discovery Centre).
