Have you seen this man?
POLICE are looking for a missing Mathoura man who they believe is on the run from the law.
Luke Quinlan, 27, has been reported missing as he has not been in contact with any family members since October 11.
Police say information shows someone has accessed his bank account in Parramatta on October 16, and Echuca on Friday.
‘‘It is quite possible that Luke is deliberately staying out of touch from family and friends due to outstanding warrants and, if located, members of the public should not approach, but contact police,’’ Inspector John Aichinger of Deniliquin police said.
Quinlan owns a white VY Holden Commodore sedan, but it is believed to be unregistered.
His previous registration was ZNB450.
Quinlan was capsicum sprayed and tasered after allegedly threatening another man and refusing to leave a house in Mathoura on May 25.
Police claim Quinlan became aggressive and threatening towards them when they arrived at the Mathoura St home.
Accused of going to assault police, Quinlan was capsicum sprayed, which had minimal effect, so he had to be tasered.
A COUPLE’S ‘‘pride and joy’’ has been stolen from Echuca Bunnings in broad daylight.
Michelle and Geoff Arnott’s 2014 Toyota Landcruiser ute was in the Bunnings carpark when it was stolen about noon yesterday.
The car was unlocked and the keys were hidden inside.
‘‘It’s our pride and joy,’’ Michelle said.
‘‘We’ve spent three years building it up to go travelling in. It’s got all the camping gear and fridge in it. We were hoping to leave early next year.’’
She appealed to anyone who may have seen the vehicle to come forward.
The maroon-coloured ute has bright orange maxtrax on the back and its registration is NUTS64.
Anyone with information is urged to call Echuca police on 54831500 or Michelle on 0407042617.
