THE Country Women’s Association (CWA) Echuca Murray branch celebrated its 60th anniversary on a picturesque day recently.
About 45 people attended the high tea event which featured the Murray singers and lots of food.
Echuca Murray CWA president Heather Bradley said it was a big celebration with service awards also handed out on the day.
The biggest was 55 years.
As per all CWA meetings, there was a trading table full of different goodies including jams, tea cosies and candles that looked like cakes.
Visitors were recognised with a box of english breakfast tea.
Heather said the branch was always looking for more members.
‘‘We currently have 12 members but we need more,’’ Heather said.
‘‘You can be any age to join. We meet on the second Tuesday of the month.’’
