THE Rotary Club of Echuca Moama wants to get conversation flowing amongst businesses in the twin towns.

To get the mingling started, the club is holding a dinner at the Moama Bowling Club as a forum for business and senior public service people to network.

Guest speaker will be Coliban Water managing director Jeff Rigby. Mr Rigby will present a picture of both corporate and community aspects of Coliban Water’s vision.

The event has received an impressive level of support, with more than 80 guests expected to attend.

Rotary’s Mike Stansbury said the not-for-profit event does not aim to compete with the Murray Business Network (MBN).

“We want to support the MBN and provide another opportunity for the business community to be heard,” he said.

“Our long-term goal is to bridge the gap between business and community service.

“Rotary is a worldwide organisation and vocation is an emerging aspect of our club.

“We believe Jeff Rigby is an important and influential person in our district. This is an opportunity to meet and hear from a senior figure representing an organisation that has significant impact on our towns.

‘‘We are fortunate in obtaining the support of Coliban Water, Campaspe Shire Council engineers and officers, Vic Roads Echuca Moama Bridge Project Office, Moama Bowling Club and the Murray Business Network.’’

It’s all happening November 28 from 6pm. Cost is $25 for a two-course meal with drinks at bar prices.

Bookings are essential and can be made by calling 0418 323 716.
