RICH River golf croquet pennant team had a good win against Echuca-Moama Green, claiming a 7-5 game win, with a a 69 hoop to 61 hoop result.

Anne Dodd, Helen Brierley and Russell Smyth each won three of their four games to help Rich River take back second place on the ladder.

11 members competed last Thursday in golf croquet.

The winner was Carol Borella and runner up was Betty McLindin.

On Tuesday golf croquet had 10 players competing in singles.

The days winner was Russell Smyth, who pipped Ian Grant at the post, 3 games all, 8 to 7.

Lois Simon organised a Melbourne Cup sweep and, proving it was his lucky day, Russell drew number 22 Rekindling.

Last Saturday members enjoyed association croquet.

The winner was Ian Grant, with Mona Hewlett coming second.

In Association pennant last week, Section 1 lost their match 1 game to 2, but Section 2 won all three games.

The Club was pleased to see several newcomers last Sunday afternoon.

Anyone interested in having a crack at croquet is welcome to come along any Sunday in November and enjoy a great game. Start time is 12.30pm, wear flat soled shoes and a sun hat.

No charge for newcomers.

The courts are behind the bowling greens at Rich River Golf Club Resort.
