RIVER Country Bootscooters are staging a movie fundraiser at the Paramount Cinema this Thursday for the McGrath Foundation.

It will be screening Three Summers, an Australian comedy starring Michael Caton, Magda Szubanski and Rebecca Breeds.

Three Summers is set at a summer music festival, where the feisty lead singer of an Irish folk band meets a folk-hating Theremin player and sparks literally fly.

Characters surrounding this awkward romance include a fiercely Aussie Morris Dancer, an Indigenous dance troupe, a group of wine-loving empty nesters, a power tripping security guard, a wannabe girl rock band and some musical asylum seekers.

All manner of stories collide under the meddling eye of community radio super star, Queenie, who welcomes the campers back three summers in a row for a folking good time.

The movie starts at 7pm.

Tickets are $15 and include a light supper afterwards. They are available at the Paramount from 6.15-6.45pm or Kay Blakeley on 0408 511 813.
