AS PART of local road upgrades, the Northern Hwy — between the High and Heygarth street roundabout outside McDonald’s and the Echuca-Moama bridge — must be kept clear of all vehicles every night from Sunday, November 19 until Friday, December 1.
Centre State Asphalting repair crews will be completing ongoing road resurfacing works along that stretch of this major artery between NSW and Victoria. The surfaces that are being repaired can be seen as areas that have been marked in paint on the road and they will be closed between 7.30pm and 6.30am on behalf of VicRoads and traffic will not be allowed access to use the road.
That includes parking — cars are not to be parked on the street or nature strip.
Members of any household (particularly children and animals) are to be kept clear of the works to make sure the area is safe.
When the road is opened for local traffic people will only be able to drive on the new surface at low speed until normal speed zones are reinstated.
