Awards for a dozen of Echuca’s very best

TWELVE Echuca police officers will be presented with Victoria and National Police Medals and awards today.

TWELVE Echuca police officers will be presented with Victoria and National Police Medals and awards today.

Victoria Police western region Assistant Commissioner Tess Walsh and Acting Superintendent Kathryn Rudkins will present the medals to 111 Victoria Police staff from central Victoria at an awards ceremony in Bendigo.

Senior Constable Rachael Edgar, Detective Sergeant Brendon Murphy (40-year clasp); Sergeant Paul Nicoll (35-year clasp), Senior Constable Simon O’Toole; Inspector Geoffrey Owen (25-year clasp); Sergeant Brendan Randoe (25-year clasp) and Leading Senior Constable Rhonda Urbaniak (25-year clasp) were awarded Victoria Police Service Medals for providing 10 years of ethical and diligent service to the Victoria Police Force.

Sgt Nicoll (2c), Insp. Owen (1c) and Sgt Randoe (1c) also received National Medals for providing 15 or more years of diligent service to Victoria Police and/or other recognised government services.

Leading Senior Constable Jasmine Gregor, Detective Leading Senior Constable Jason Hare, Sergeant Justin McAuley and Sgt Shane Walker were awarded National Police Service Medals for providing a minimum of 15 or more years diligent and ethical service to policing within Australia.

Leading Senior Constable Anthony Gallagher received a 35-year service award certificate.
