RICH River’s golf croquet pennant team won the final match of the season, narrowly beating Shepparton seven games to five, 74 hoops to 72.

Anne Dodd played strongly, winning all four of her games.

After finishing third on the ladder, Rich River plays in the first preliminary final this week against Numurkah Blue and is hoping to progress through to the grand final on Thursday, December 7.

In association croquet Rich River section one lost all three games to Shepparton, while section two beat Numurkah Navy two games to one, 50 hoops to 31.

The winner in golf croquet club play on Thursday, November 23 was Kaye Joyce.

An excellent effort for a new member playing competitively for only the second time. The runner-up was Allan Cumming.

On Tuesday this week Allan improved his result, winning the day against 15 other players, with Gwen Hurst coming second.

Members are looking forward to the croquet club Christmas party on Monday, December 4.
