A KIALLA man is dead and another seriously injured after an industrial accident in Leitchville on Wednesday.

The 59-year-old Kialla man died at the scene and a 54-year-old Cobram man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The men were contract workers part of a crew working on the demolition of the Murray Goulburn facility.

It is believed machinery fell on two men at the site.

‘‘There are no other details at the moment and we aren’t sure how the accident occurred.’’

WorkSafe investigators and the coroner were called to the scene.

The site has been closed and all work suspended until further notice.
