THE AFL premier is heading to town.
Richmond Football Club announced Wednesday it will head to Echuca in February for its 2018 Australia Post AFL Community Camp.
A group of Tiger players will be here on February 12 and 13, with another group to travel to Bendigo.
The club will put on football clinics while here, hoping its players will engage with members of the community.
Richmond said its aim was to build on its connection with the area built by its Next Generation Academy Program, the region of which includes all Bendigo Pioneers and Murray Bushrangers catchments.
The program is an introduction to Australian Rules for kids from Indigenous and multicultural backgrounds.
More information about the reigning premier’s visit will be released in the new year.
