SKATEBOARDER FLOWN TO MELBOURNE IN SERIOUS CONDITION

Police talking to witnesses after a collision between a car and a skateboarder this evening.  

A SKATEBOARDER in his 20s was flown to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne last night after a collision with a car at the intersection of Heygarth and Hare streets.
The man was initially taken to Echuca hospital in a serious condition with head and arm injuries.
Ambulance Victoria has confirmed he was taken to Melbourne by air ambulance for further treatment.
A police spokesman said the accident happened about 7pm.
The skateboarder finished up on the bonnet of the car, smashing its windscreen from the impact.
Police are still investigating the crash and asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident, or has any information about it to contact them at Echuca police station on 5483 1500 or phone Crime Stoppers on 1300 333 000.
