ISAIAH Firebrace has become one of the biggest music names this year and is bringing his live show back home and he is very excited.
He comes to town to celebrate an incredible year since winning the X Factor in 2016 and representing Australia at Eurovision in 2017.
‘‘It’s been a whirlwind,’’ he said.
‘‘But I can’t wait to come home and perform in front of my family, friends and home town supporters.
‘‘I miss the country town life, including knowing all the people around town.’’
He described Eurovision as so much fun.
‘‘It’s really difficult to describe,’’ he said.
‘‘But in terms of what was more of an experience for me, it had to be X Factor because I grew so much and met so many people, many of whom are still my friends.’’
2018 looks to be a massive year for 18-year-old Isaiah, who will be releasing new music and potentially a new album.
‘‘I’m so excited for everyone to hear my new music,’’ he said.
‘‘I feel it’s my best music yet.’’
He said he still doesn’t feel like he is famous.
‘‘I’ll probably get there one day, but I love still being this smaller artist and growing in my own capability,’’ he said.
He is hoping to be able to go to the United States and have a successful career internationally.
‘‘It’s an exciting concept and I feel like I am ready for the big league,’’ he said.
‘‘The US is such a big market and the shows there are intense.
‘‘I sang at G’day USA!, which was insane in itself, but was amazing.
‘‘I’m going back to the US again in 2018.’’
He highly recommended going on shows like the X Factor, as long as you’re not afraid of failing.
‘‘You’ve just got to give it a shot, you never know what will happen until you try,’’ he said.
‘‘It’s such a great platform and you meet so many people who want to help and guide you.’’
His advice for aspiring artists is simple, fight for what you want and stay true to yourself.
‘‘Take every opportunity you are given and keep smiling, even if things aren’t going your way,’’ he said.
‘‘Oh, and don’t ever take no as an answer, keep trying and always do your best.’’
