WHEN you’ve already established yourself as a one-stop tourism destination for Echuca-Moama, it would make sense to kick up your feet and relax for a little bit, right?
But the Tindarra Resort team aren’t satisfied with sitting still.
To them, it’s all about forward motion.
And constant improvement is vital if it means their guests’ experiences are made even slightly better.
Introducing Tindarra Resort’s new studio apartments.
With each featuring a spacious bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette, these streamlined apartments are perfect for a corporate traveller’s overnight stay.
“As we’re holding more conferences at Tindarra, we really wanted to offer simple, convenient accommodation for corporate travellers,” resort manager Sean Goggin said.
“Whereas much of our existing accommodation only offered two or three bedrooms, more suitable for families.”
The eight pristine new apartments were made possible with support from Destination NSW and the Regional Visitor Economy Fund.
“Applying for the grant was a great exercise for the resort as it made us review our entire business and put in place solid plans for our future,” Sean said.
Tindarra was assisted in applying for the grant by Murray Regional Tourism, Echuca Moama Tourism, Murray River Council and KO Tourism.
A number of local organisations and suppliers also contributed letters of support.
The grant has kick-started stage two of development for the resort, which will see a total of 16 studio apartments and a further four two-bedroom villas constructed.
“The grant has allowed us to progress to the second stage of development at a much faster rate,” Sean said.
“Once completed, the next stage will double our occupancy capabilities and allow us to attract a broader range of clientele to the resort and the Echuca-Moama region.
“It’s an exciting time to be involved in tourism. Organisations such as Echuca Moama Tourism, Murray River Tourism and Echuca Moama Accommodation Association are implementing some great initiatives and the investment from local tourism operators is certain to increase visitation to our region.”
The resort engaged a number of local tradesmen and suppliers to assist in constructing the studio apartments.
They would like to thank project manager Ken Mellody, Planright, Iain McCleary Builders, CB Carpentry, Laser Plumbing, Echuca Moama Electrical & Welding, Bronson’s concreting, Rich River Painting and Decorating, Roofpro Metal, C&D Tiles, eSkips, Echuca Metaland, Echuca Reece Plumbing Centre, Dahlsens Echuca, Total Plaster Supplies, Langley Homes, Rock Solid Gardening Supplies, Coolabah Turf, Tippy Pak, Roofpro, P&K Roof Trusses Echuca, Mawsons and Echuca Mini Mix, Flooring Xtra and On the Right Track Curtains and Blinds.
