NOMINATIONS are now open for the 2018 NSW Creative Achievement Awards.

NOMINATIONS are now open for the 2018 NSW Creative Achievement Awards.

There are three award categories — the NSW Creative Laureate, the NSW Emerging Creative Talent Award, and for the first time a $3000 NSW Young Creative Award for people under 25.

The Creative Laureate award recognises a candidate who has made a significant contribution to increasing the industry’s global profile with the winner to be an ambassador for the year.

The Emerging Creative Talent award offers a $15,000 prize and recognises an individual, team or organisation that has shown originality and innovation while contributing to raising the global profile of NSW creative industries.

“The creative industries range from visual and performing arts including dance, music and theatre to digital and traditional media including film, television, radio, web design, publishing and advertising, and even architecture,” State Member for Murray Austin Evans said.

“Our region is home to heaps of creative talent so I would like to see a strong field of local nominations contesting the honours in the awards.

“This is a great opportunity for local companies to be recognised for their creative contributions to Australia and overseas.”

Winners will be announced in June at the Museum of Contemporary Art during Vivid Sydney 2018.

Nominations are open until March 16 and can be made at
