Fire ban tomorrow

by
February 09, 2018

Echuca police and Parks Victoria compliance officers leave the Echuca police station after their joint briefing to patrol along the Murray River during the Southern 80.

FIRES will be banned across Echuca tomorrow.
A total fire ban has been declared for the Northern Country, meaning no fires are to be lit and no flames are allowed in the open air.
This will impact those camping along the Murray River attending the Southern 80.
However, total fire bans have not been announced on the Moama side.
Victoria Police and Parks Victoria compliance officers will also be patrolling the Murray River all weekend and Monday, with zero tolerance for any fire-related offences detected.
