The beautiful harmonies of the Welsh Valleys are coming to Echuca.
Wales is known as the ‘land of song’ and those glorious tunes are coming to the Paramount Theatre on Sunday, April 22.
The Victoria Welsh Male Choir will bring their range of songs from its diverse repertoire including Welsh and Celtic favourite, popular songs, opera choruses, broadway melodies and afro-american spirituals.
The audience will notice the distinctive characteristics of the Welsh choral tradition including the singing in four-part harmony.
The choir is renowned for its quality of singing with their concerts noted for their relaxed and informal style and good humour.
They guarantee it will leave you with a smile on your face and a glow in your heart.
Faleiry Koczkar, the musical director, was born in Wales and grew up in the Welsh musical tradition.
She is an award-winning conductor and was the President of Wales and the World by the National Eisteddfod of Wales in 2012.
She has also been awarded the Order of Australia for her services to choral music in Australia.
The choir is now in its fourth decade of music and presents about 25 concerts per year.
