SEALING works on Echuca-Mooroopna Rd have started.
VicRoads regional director northern region Brian Westley said the road authority had doubled its road maintenance investment across the state this year.
‘‘As part of this package we are getting on with works to boost the safety of Echuca-Mooroopna Rd and improve travel for all drivers using this key stretch of road,’’ he said.
The Victorian budget 2017-18 allocated $556 million to double road maintenance investment, upgrade more bridges and construct new bypasses.
Drainage works on Echuca-Mooroopna Rd started in late 2017, following pavement works in January 2018.
The second section of sealing works were expected to be complete by March 2018 depending on weather. Traffic control will be on site to ensure the safety of all drivers.
Minimal delays of around five minutes are expected when travelling through the area.
