AUSTRALIA’S highest profile psychologist and author of 12 books, Dr Michael Carr-Gregg (pictured above), is coming to Moama Bowling Club’s The Venue in less than two weeks.
Carer Support Services is funding the information sessions to support parents and professionals working with local children.
CSS work with carers of people who are frail, aged, have a disability, chronic illness or mental illness.
Many young children have mental health issues which can lead to poor life outcomes and negative impacts on their unpaid carers.
Providing this information to both parents, teachers and support staff will assist to create a community approach to minimise mental health issues in school aged children as they make their way through the school years and into adulthood.
The sessions will be held on Monday, March 26 for primary aged children and Tuesday, March 27 for secondary aged with three different sessions being held on both days:
■ 1pm-2.30pm - Information for parents
■ 4pm-5.30pm - Information for teachers and professionals
■ 6.30pm-8pm - Informations for parents
Bookings are not required. For information, contact CSS Echuca on 54820808 or [email protected]
