Play in Nanneella and raise money for its group

March 14, 2018

Fletcher Hodson, Riley and Jack Nichol (back), Izzy Ryan, Ethel Froon and Paisley Fitzpatrick are keen for the Nanneella twilight fair and car boot sale.

THERE will be a night of entertainment and bargains in Nanneella for the first twilight fair and car boot sale.

The event is organised by the Nanneella Playgroup to raise funds for improvements to their playground.

Held at the Nanneella Recreation Reserve, along with the car boot sale, the night will feature entertainment for the whole family.

A sausage sizzle, cake stall, jumping castle and live music are just some of the entertainment provided for the family event.

Playgroup president Shannyn Nichol said she hoped it would be a fun outing for the community.

“We’re hoping to raise $1000 and we would love the whole community to get behind it,” she said.

“Anyone can come along and sell their surplus equipment from their car boot. You just have to pay the $5 entry fee and you keep whatever money you make from sales.

“It’s shaping up to be a fun night out with plenty to do and lots of fun to be had.”

Shannyn said it had been a big effort to organise the event and she was thankful for the support from the community.

“We’ve had plenty of people and businesses willing to help out and donate,” she said.

“We couldn’t do it without them.”

It’s on March 23 from 5pm until dark and anyone is welcome to get involved in the car boot sale.
