THE premiers continue to dominate.

Leitchville Gunbower was favourite for the match against Elmore — but no one saw the result coming.

It was the Bombers getting the victory to the tune of 110 points.

In a dominant performance by the Bombers, superstar forward Matt Perri was on the end of eight goals.

Coach Michael Pilcher said it was a great result, especially under the circumstances of the weather.

‘‘When you are not only playing away from home, but you’re also playing in pretty horrible weather, well that’s always really difficult,’’ Pilcher said.

‘‘To be able to get a win like that, I think it says something about what we are capable of. A lot of people had talked about us being the favourites in this match, but no one really thought we were going to come out and put forward a game like that. We believe our team is good enough so having a win like that justifies the confidence we have in our own side.’’

While Perri was the hero with eight, Pilcher said his teammates made a huge difference in the result.

‘‘Matt was great with his eight goals, but the guys around him played incredibly well,’’ Pilcher said.

‘‘We gave really good service as a team to our forwards. We also had a lot of times when Matt would have two or three guys lined up on him, so our other forwards would do their job pretty well. Guys like Tim Lincoln and Mitch Mcewen were able to get on the end of a few as well.’’

The Bombers now turn their attentions to Heathcote at home.
