PICOLA United Football Netball Club has a huge Saturday coming up this weekend.
It will be celebrating its last 50 years and the premiership win of its reserves side in 1978.
Senior coach John Varcoe said the reunion would also be looking for recruits to join its supporters club – dubbed the True Blues — which reformed this year.
This club raises funds to assist financing the many needs in the functioning of a football and netball club.
While there will be off-field festivities all day, special guests in MP Damian Drum and AFL Women’s footballer Reni Hicks from Nathalia will be guest speakers at a function.
The function will be held after the senior game in which Picola, the reigning Picola League premier hosts Katunga.
Picola wants anyone, especially those connected in any way with the club for the past 50 years, to make the effort to join in what should be a memorable day for the club.
The Picola-Katunga game will be played on Saturday from 2.05pm.
