THE trial of an Echuca man accused of a sexual assault in Hare St almost two years ago is expected to start in August.
Erh-Chieh Chuang, 28, appeared in Melbourne County Court on Tuesday for a directions hearing, where it was adjourned for another directions hearing on July 13.
The trial is expected to start on August 2.
Chuang, who is on bail, is charged with sexual assault-related offences, which relate to an alleged incident at a Hare St business on September 20, 2016.
Bendigo’s Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team interviewed and charged Chuang on January 11.
