ECHUCA and district children could get a special behind-the-scenes look at the Victoria Police Mounted Branch as part of a colouring competition.
Victoria Police is once again running the Chief Commissioner’s Colouring Competition, with kids having the choice of bringing three police-inspired designs to life.
The designs include a police motorcycle and officer, protective services officers on patrol at a train station and a police officer with a police dog.
The grand prize this year is a tour of the Victoria Police Mounted Branch headquarters with Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton and the chance to meet a handler from the Dog Squad and their dog.
At least one winner will be picked from three age groups.
The colouring competition aims to foster the creative talents of young people while also prompting discussion about issues such as personal safety and the role that police play in keeping the community safe.
Entries close on April 26.
