There was enormous hype heading into this one as both sides had started the season in superb fashion.
While the Eagles threatened to cause an upset it never looked likely as the Magpies showcased why they are once again premiership favourites.
Review: Moama are a juggernaut, there is no underselling it.
Alex Daly and Charlotte Long have this team playing some fine netball, even though they haven’t hit their straps.
Good luck everyone when they do.

United enjoyed back-to-back one-goal wins to start the season, showing what good sides do when their backs are against the wall.
A win against a side who will content for the double chance, could prove important at the end of the season.

Record: 5-1
Ladder position: 4th
Best win: Rd 2, Echuca 40 def. Seymour 39.
Getting over the line in close games is a sign of a strong team especially so early in the season.
The Murray Bombers managed to do that against the Lions, as they overcome a four-goal three-quarter time deficit to pick up the win.
Review: The reigning premiers are poised nicely at the first break in 2019, with some strong wins under their belt.
Apart from a poor performance against Shepparton Swans, they game been on top of their game.
They’ll be there fighting at the business end of the season.

TONGALA
Record: 3-3
Ladder position: 7th
Best win: Rd 3, Tongala 40 def Nathalia 24.
Victory over Nathalia proved that the Blues can be damaging under the ring if given the opportunity.
But on this day, it was the defence who showed the rest of the competition, they will not get the opportunity for easy goals.
Review: A young Blues outfit have managed to surprise opposition clubs, even if they weren’t picking up the four wins.
If they can continue their exciting rate of development, a finals appearance isn’t out of the question.

LEITCHVILLE-GUNBOWER
Record: 3-2
Ladder position: 5th
Best win: L-Gunbower 43 def. North Bendigo 41.
While it was against one of the lower ranked sides on the ladder, this result proved the Bombers had learned their lesson after falling by one-goal in the opening round.
They nailed their opportunities at the most crucial time and it proved to be the difference between the two sides.
Review: To this point, Leitchy have surprised with their form but to their credit they are picking up matches in games which they are favourites.
The Bombers are on an upward trend and that could take them towards the pointy end of the Heathcote District netball season.

LBU
Record: 1-5
Ladder position: 9th
Best win: Rd 1, LBU 36 def. Heathcote 34.
After suffering a 50-goal loss in the standalone season opener against White Hills, LBU showed terrific resolve to bounce back.
It was a win that provided a much needed confidence boost.
Review: The 2019 season has certainly been a struggle for the Cats, as they continue to develop as a team.
Big losses against White Hills and Colbinabbin have shown they have a long way to go before even thinking about a finals appearance.
