To end the damage they have in our community, Echuca-Moama residents are encouraged to attend a boomerang bag workshop in Echuca on Sunday.
The Boomerang Bags Community Sewing Bee will see lots of boomerang bags made to be distributed throughout our community so people can use them when they forget their own reusable bags and can then give them back for another to use.
The boomerang bags are made from upcycled material, as an sustainable alternative to plastic bags.
And no matter your skill set there will be a job for everyone whether it’s cutting materials, pinning, ironing or sewing.
Any time volunteers can give — 30 minutes, a few hours or the whole session — will be appreciated.
Sewers are encouraged to bring their machines where possible.
It is on Sunday from 10am-2pm at Echuca’s library. All ages are welcome to help make these innovative bags for many people to enjoy.
