Four properties have been broken into over four days, with jewellery and household goods among the items stolen.
Detective Senior Constable Troy Wickham of Echuca Criminal Investigation Unit said thieves forced entry to a Landsborough St between Wednesday and Saturday.
‘‘They forced open a rear door and stole a small quantity of jewellery,’’ he said.
Jewellery was also stolen from a Hopwood St home on Friday. Thieves broke in between 5.30pm and 9pm, also stealing alcohol and personal items. Two more Hopwood St homes were targeted overnight Saturday, with a small amount of household goods taken.
Det. Snr Constable Wickham said it was likely the three weekend burglaries were related.
‘‘We’re following a number of inquiries,’’ he said. ‘‘If anyone has CCTV they think may be of value we’d appreciate that.
‘‘We’re also appealing for information from the public so anyone who may have seen something or has information can contact us at the station.’’
He also urged residents in areas hit by burglaries to be mindful.
‘‘If you’re in an area where there have been incidents, maybe conduct security checks and keep in contact with neighbours so you’re all on board if there’s anyone acting suspicious.’’
Anyone with information can contact Echuca police on 5483 1500 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
