It is the second crash at the corner of Hare and Heygarth streets in 11 days.
Leading Senior Constable Bernadette Cowley of Echuca police said the man driving a Ford Falcon XR6 ute, with his wife in the passenger seat, crashed into a Toyota HiLux about noon today.
“They were talking about where to get a pie and he wasn't paying enough attention and accidentally crashed into the car,” she said.
“They were three weeks into a road trip around Australia so it's not a good start for them. It looks like they'll be staying here for a bit longer than they expected.”
No-one was injured, including the driver of the HiLux - an Echuca man in his 20s.
“The side of the HiLux was quite damaged and had to be towed, while the other one might have some radiator damage,” Snr Constable Cowley said.
No fines are expected to be issued because there were no injuries.
