Emergency services were called to the corner of Echuca and Martin streets after the truck, turning at the intersection, smashed into the pole just before 10.30am.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
No-one was believed to be injured.
The outage caused significant problems for residents working and remote-learning from home, as well as many businesses.
Essential Energy Murray operations manager Ian Armstrong said network protection equipment was activated to isolate supply to 2089 customers in the area to ensure the safety of the electricity network and community.
“Crews were able to isolate the damaged network to re-route power around the network to progressively restore 1731 customers by 11.22am,” he said.
“About 358 customers remain without power and an estimated time of restoration has been set for 6pm for these customers.”
Mr Armstrong reminded the public to stay at least 8m away from damaged or fallen powerlines.
“Always treat powerlines as live and remember that anything in contact with them, such as cars, trees or fences, can conduct electricity and pose a danger,” he said.
“We encourage residents to immediately report fallen powerlines, network damage, fires or trees contacting powerlines to Essential Energy on 132 080 or call 000 if the situation is life-threatening.”
