Echuca South recorded just its third win of the season in round 12 of the GMCU Campaspe Cricket Association season on Saturday, pulling off a surprise victory over premiership contenders Rochester Tigers.
South, who smashed 252 as it lasted out 80 overs last week, went on to put on one of the best bowling performances seen in the league this season.

Title win: Tongala's Geoff Tinning proved too strong for Moama's Glenn Dorwood, winning the final of the Campaspe Valley Bowls Association Champion of Champions. Tinning defeated Dorwood in the final, 25-20. To make the final, Tinning defeated Rich River's Charlie Pavone and Dorwood defeated City of Echuca's James McGillivray. Special ride: Echuca cyclists Ray Hamilton and Robin Lewis recently came across Lance Armstrong on a training ride on Anzac Hwy, Adelaide, at Tour Down Under.
