As those of us born anywhere between 1946 and 1964 have started, are starting, are thinking about starting or trying hard not to think about it at all, retirement has become an unavoidable reality for we Baby Boomers.
Although if you are like me, the only boom in babies these days is grandchildren – and we are not allowed anywhere near them at the moment because of COVID-19.
What we are looking to present here are stories, tips, advice and opinions about retirement, planning for retirement or living in it.
If you have any questions, about anything, we would love to hear them and we will do our best to find someone who can answer them for you.
Just let us know at retire@mmg.com.au.
We begin a look at installing solar power pre-retirement, while there is still a weekly cash flow. Next, we go through the installation and put the sums down in black and white and will track progress for the first 12 months after the solar power is switched on.
We also have financial advice, words for the wise from out friendly physio Pat Arnold; and an update on all that retirement travel you might have been planning.
Then we will be looking at retirement investment and will also introduce Steve Bain, who will take us through putting together a tool shed/workshop to while away some pleasant afternoons.
We also take a look at taking up art in our (slightly) older age and where you can find someone to help you.
We hope you enjoy the reading and if there is anything you want to see, let us know at retire@mmg.com.au, we look forward to hearing from you.
