Brian McCleary & Co Accountants has announced Kate Barlow as a new partner at the long-standing local firm.
Mrs Barlow joins Peter Rae, Adam Menadue and business founder Brian McCleary in partnership, and her promotion was celebrated at a staff dinner at The Crossing Cafe late last month.
Mrs Barlow is a limited authorised representative for self-managed super funds and a member of Chartered Accounts Australia & New Zealand (CA).
With 17 years’ experience, her industry interests and specialisations include assisting family businesses, superannuation and business tax accounting.
Mrs Barlow started with Brian McCleary & Co at the Deniliquin office in 2000, before becoming the firm’s Echuca office manager nine years ago.
Mrs Barlow says she is excited to be made partner of such a highly regarded business.
‘‘It’s been on the cards for some time, and I’m very pleased it has eventuated.
‘‘Becoming a partner will allow me to take on more of a leadership role within the firm, which is a great opportunity.’’
Mrs Barlow also has a farming background, having completed a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with honours at the Seale-Hayne Agriculture College in the United Kingdom.
Mrs Barlow then completed a Bachelor of Accounting at the University of South Australia.
Mr Menadue said he welcomed Mrs Barlow as a partner.
‘‘Kate’s leadership within the team and client base is well respected and highly valued by both staff and management,’’ he said.
‘‘Kate’s technical knowledge, professionalism and ability to get the job done is well proven.
‘‘On behalf of Brian, Peter and myself, we look forward to Kate giving continued guidance within our business into the future.’’
Brian McCleary & Co has an office in End St, Deniliquin, as well as offices in Hay, Barham, Echuca and Rochester.
