Shane and Ellie McGrath & Shane McGrath and Sophie Butcher:
Shane McGrath has been the backbone behind the Edward on the Edward music event and an inspiration for many of the younger musicians.
He will be joined on stage this year by his wife and fellow musician Ellie McGrath, who is making her Edward on the Edward debut.
This is a much anticipated duo who will be surely be a highlight of the afternoon.
Shane is Deni’s version of legendary guitarist Santana. He has a passion for music and in particular guitar.
In 2007 he was accepted into the Schools Spectacular production as a featured artist and performed solo with a 100 piece orchestra.
Since then his music career has gone from strength to strength.
Shane will also team up with Sophie Butcher — another well known Deniliquin singer — for a second Edward on the Edward set on Sunday.
Sophie and Shane teamed up for the inaugural Edward on the Edward.
Like Shane, Sophie is a teacher at South West Music offering vocal guidance. She can also play piano and guitar.
Over a Third:
This all girl band is a mainstay of the Edward on the Edward music concert, gearing up to perform at the event for the third consecutive year.
It means those who have attended the event each year since its inception will get the chance to see the progress the members have made as a band.
Providing the beat for Over a Third is Hayley Denny on drums while Eloise Ritchie, Molly Shaw and Ella Harvey all provide vocals and play guitar.
Joining the band is Annie Harvey on keyboard.
The band has come together under the guidance of music teacher Shane McGrath, and provide a range of pop covers.
The girls are excited to perform again
Annabelle Lees & Nova:
Annabelle Lees is also gearing up for her third Edward on the Edward performance this Sunday, and will actually perform twice.
As well as entertaining as a member of the band Nova, Annabelle will also take to the stage as a solo act.
Originally from Hay and now a Deniliquin High School student, Annabelle is a popular performer at other local and regional events.
She’s performed on the Deni Ute Muster day stage, and last year was the support act for former Australian Idol contestant Wes Carr when her performed in Hay.
