Nathalia has requested two separate investigations.
It alleges Nathalia player Craig Kellow was struck by different Echuca United players in separate incidents.
Echuca United allege Eagle Nicholas Kellow was struck by a Nathalia player.
As a consequence, he took no further part in the game having suffered a broken jaw.
In a statement on Friday, the Murray Football League gave notice of an investigation to be completed by an appointed WorkSafe AFL Victoria Country Investigation officer concerning the allegations.
This investigation is to be run according to the procedures as set down within AFL Victoria Country regulation 5.2 Unbecoming Conduct.
A report will be provided back to the Murray FL general manager by the appointed investigation officer within 10 business days of his engagement.
If the investigation report finds any person is deemed to have a case to answer under AFL Victoria Country regulation 5.2 in relation to the request for investigation, the case will be taken to the Murray FL Independent Tribunal within nine days of the receipt of the report.
Murray Football League general manager Dale Norman has told the Riv the investigation is ongoing.
