With further stage 3 COVID-19 restrictions being eased, bowlers will be able to approach the game with increased numbers allowed and occupy the clubhouse under certain terms.
Over the past couple of weeks, bowlers have enjoyed the opportunity to have a roll-up and keep in touch.
Club champion Denise Gilmore celebrated a special birthday amongst fellow bowlers, who were treated to a birthday cake that was presented by Brian Kinnane, ‘‘freshly’’ baked that morning.
On the green there was a display of intense bowling from all concerned amid plenty of humour and laughter.
Gilmore was on a high as she introduced the "golden-arm" bowling aid to further her improvement in bowls.
Other bowlers to feature included Owen "Smiley" McPhee , Jim Harris, Jerome Shaw. Ivan Hicks and Russell Shawcross.
The club appreciates the support from the City of Echuca, Moama, Elmore and Rich River Bowling Clubs plus our own members, in helping the cause.
Being able to have increased numbers on the green, the club will hold the popular scrounge event on each Wednesday at 1pm and a feature pairs competition on Friday at 1pm.
Names to be listed prior to 12.45pm on the given day.
The club 100 Up championship has been decided with Ian Johnson defeating Andrew Harris in a splendid display of draw bowling.
Both bowlers traded ends in the early part of the match before Johnson showcased his vast experience to draw out to a comfortable victory.
Although somewhat disappointed, Harris will no doubt be able to draw on this as a valuable learning curve to greater things.
The club will soon be able to decide on various items relating to presentation evening, plus any championship games to be completed.
And also the return to Friday evening barbeques.
